Meet Our Staff

All of our physical therapists are licensed in the state of Kansas and are members of the American Physical Therapy Association and of the Kansas Physical Therapy Association.

Pam Palmer, PT

Pam Palmer, PT has practiced physical therapy in Wichita, Kansas since graduation from Wichita State University in 1985. She founded Palmer Physical Therapy for Women in 2003. Pam specializes in treatment of the spine and chronic back pain. Through her work with lower back dysfunction, she has pioneered new, more effective treatments for bladder, bowel, and other pelvic disorders. She is a member of the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Pam enjoys running and has completed numerous marathons. She also plays golf in her spare time.

Kathy Elston, PT

Kathy Elston, PT is a 1981 graduate of the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her specialized education in women’s health issues is complimented by a background in behavior management and wellness. She is also a member of the Women’s Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Kathy raised her family in Wichita and has always enjoyed exercise of all types and learning about the role of nutrition in healthy living.

Ann Sundgren, PT

Ann Sundgren, PT graduated with honors from Wichita State University in 1986. Her physical therapy practice expertise is in the area of orthopedic and sports medicine, with an emphasis in treatment of the female athlete. She is also a member of the Sports Section of the APTA. Ann is a lifelong Kansan, and enjoys golfing, biking, and gardening.

Susan Palmer, PT

Susan Palmer, PT is a 1995 graduate of Wichita State University. Her background is in orthopedic physical therapy and she has received additional education in oncology and women’s health issues. Susan is a member of the Women’s Health, Oncology, and Orthopedic Sections of the APTA. She enjoys running, biking, and keeping up with her two boys.

Polly Holcomb, DPT

Polly Holcomb, DPT graduated in 2008 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has a special interest in treatment of the spine and has received additional education in women’s health issues such as pelvic floor dysfunction. Polly is a member of the Women’s Health Section of the APTA. In her spare time, Polly enjoys jogging and spending time with family.

Shelli Hill, DPT

Shelli Hill, DPT graduated with honors and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wichita State University in 2009. Her background is in orthopedic physical therapy with special interest in dysfunctions of the spine and women’s health issues. She is a member of the Kansas Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association. Shelli enjoys golfing, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

As you enter our clinic, you will be greeted by one of our three receptionists. They are responsible for checking you in, explaining your insurance information, collecting patient forms, payments, and scheduling. Our staff is always willing to answer questions you may have. We are here to provide assistance in any way possible.

Jamie Stephan

Jamie Stephan worked in the nursing profession for several years until her four children arrived. She joined our team in September 2008, and moved to the position of office manager in 2010.  Outside of work, she enjoys going to her children’s activities, being with family, and doing crafts.

Joyce Keasey

Joyce Keasey has been a receptionist at Palmer Physical Therapy for Women since December 2006. Before that she worked in an administrative capacity for The Boeing Company and Spirit Aero Systems for over 25 years. She has two children and five grandchildren. In her spare time, she directs and sings with her church choir, and performs with a contemporary musical group known as Joyful Noise at her church. She also volunteers as a music instructor at Faith Lutheran School in Derby.
